At MockingBird Air, we believe everyone deserves the chance to experience the life of a pilot – no matter their background, real-life situation, or level of experience. We’re a virtual airline built on inclusivity, immersion, and community. Welcome aboard!
📍 Step 1: Your VAMSYS Dashboard
Our entire airline operates through VAMSYS, a powerful virtual airline management system.
After registration and login, here’s where to go next:
- Book a Flight: Go to the Flight Centre tab.
Join an Event: Check the Events tab.
Study & Learn: Visit the Resources and Documents tabs.
Change Your Settings: Click your name (top right) → My Profile or My Settings.
🎉 Step 2: Fly With Us in Events
We regularly host immersive events, such as:
Focus Airports
Tours
Delivery Flights (for new aircraft)
Events often come with briefing packs, time slots, and may offer bonus points if completed successfully.
💡 Flying online with VATSIM or IVAO is encouraged, but not mandatory.
📦 Step 3: Enhance Your Experience with Our Resources
We offer:
Custom Liveries for MSFS (others to follow)
Study-Level Documents like checklists, SOPs, scenery tables
Resource Hub: All content is in the vAMSYS Hangar (available after registration)

Step 4: Install Pegasus Flight Tracker
Pegasus is our ACARS system that logs your flights. It must be started before every flight.
Install Pegasus:
vamsys.io/resources/pegasus
You’ll also need:
FSUIPC for FSX/P3D/MSFS → fsuipc.com
XPUIPC for X-Plane → fsacars.com
Log in with your email address and vAMSYS password.
📘 Step 5: Book Your First Flight
Open Flight Centre → Book Flight
Choose a flight from the map or dropdown
Click Book Flight
On the dispatch page:
Choose or edit the callsign
Select a valid aircraft registration
Dispatch your flight (with or without SimBrief)
📢 Know Your Callsigns
Every division in the MXB Group has its own unique callsign:
