Rules & Regulations
MockingBird Air is a virtual airline that was built and managed entirely by volunteers.
So that we can ensure that everything runs smoothly, all virtual pilots must follow a few rules:
§1 General principles
-› MockingBird Air should be a tolerant and safe environment for everyone, which means that any hate, racism, incitement or any NSFW content will not be tolerated.
-› We are an open community and do not tolerate discriminatory opinions and hostility, as well as religious statements.
-› Pilots must register with their real names, fantasy names are not accepted. The names are only used for personal interactions with one another, so this is about personal interaction.
§2 Rules for flights
-› Flights for MockingBird Air should be recorded using our flight tracker Pegasus, but if the simulator or the program fails or crashes shortly before the end of the flight, PIREPS can also be created manually using our Crew Center.
-› If you are on an online network (IVAO, Vatsim, …), the rules and regulations of the respective network apply.
§3 Discord Server
Our Discord community is the heart of MockingBird Air and is used for communication, exchange and the joint organization of our virtual flights. In order to promote a pleasant atmosphere, the following rules apply:
-› Respectful interaction: Every member has the right to be treated with respect. Insults, discrimination and any form of bullying will not be tolerated.
-› Let others speak: The most important principle in communication is to let each other finish speaking. Interruptions, interrupting loudly or intentionally ignoring other people
are to be avoided.
-› No advertising: Any form of advertising, be it for other virtual airlines, products, services or personal projects, is prohibited on our Discord server. Violations will result in immediate exclusion from the community.
-› Confidentiality and data protection: Personal information and private conversations of other members must be treated confidentially. Publishing private messages or personal data without consent is strictly prohibited.
-› Prohibition of spam: Repeatedly posting the same message, sending messages with excessive content (spam), and unnecessary pinging of members or moderators is prohibited.
-› Usage guidelines: All members must adhere to the Discord usage guidelines and community guidelines. Violations of these guidelines can lead to exclusion from the MockingBird Air community.
§4 Support
-› If you have general problems using our systems, please use our contact form on the website or the ticket system in the support channel on our Discord server to get in touch with us.
-› If you have problems with another member, you can also use the methods mentioned above to contact us. However, we would like to point out that if there is no direct violation of the rules, we can only intervene to a limited extent. Here, too, we would like to appeal to your common sense and resolve differences of opinion like adults.
§5 Violations of the rules
Every violation of the rules is examined by our staff team. Depending on the type of violation, these can have different consequences.
-› Warnings: A warning is issued for minor violations. Repeated violations lead to more severe measures.
-› Temporary bans: In the case of repeated or serious violations, a temporary ban can be imposed, which prohibits the member from participating in MockingBird Air activities.
-› Exclusion: In the case of serious or repeated violations of the rules that endanger the operation or reputation of MockingBird Air, the member in question can be permanently excluded.
MockingBird Air thrives on the active and committed participation of its members. These rules are designed to create a positive environment and keep the operation of our virtual airline at a high standard. We thank all members for their support and commitment and look forward to many successful and safe flights!
